The company was founded in 1945 by Angelo Molinari in Civitavecchia, near Rome. Through his experience and personal intuition, Angelo Molinari, an experienced and skilled distiller, succeeded in creating a unique top quality product with an unmistakable flavour: Molinari Extra.
Thanks to extra quality ingredients, meticulous marketing and brilliant communication, to this day Molinari Extra continues to leave its mark both in Italy and worldwide. Molinari Extra is distributed in more than 70 different countries and, with the mission to be the benchmark of the Italian spirit-making tradition and the ambassadors of the Italian lifestyle in the world, has become synonymous with “Made in Italy” all over the world.
Molinari Italia owns other iconic Italian brands: Limoncello di Capri, the egg liqueur VOV and grappas produced at the Ceschia distillery in Nimis.
Molinari is also the Italian distributor of several international premium spirits, such as the Rémy Cointreau range, Tovaritch and Xenta Absenta. Molinari has furthermore recently signed a distribution agreement with Britvic Teisseire.
